Herbal tinctures
This summer I made tinctures from fresh dandelion and yellow dock root, sage, rosemary and nettle leaves. I used 32% alcohol. Next project will be herb capsules.

First snow this winter
Finally snow came down:) and our winter holiday started, will last until 6 of January. Unfortunately I wont go home for christmas. We will have here Christmas and new years eve meeting, so there will be plenty people, music, guest speakers and lots of work. Busy holiday, but it will be fun for sure.
Today was also my first experience in teaching class about herbs.
God has caused to grow out of the ground herbs for the use of man, and if we understand the nature of these roots and herbs, and make a right use of them, there would not be a necessity of running for the doctor so frequently, and people would be in much better health than they are today. Letter 35, 1890. {MM 230.3}
Yesterday we visited Anatomy exposition in Köln. There were dead bodies, but it was ok. In University we had to make a fake surgery on dead dog...this was already something.
Antioxidant benefits
- Pomegranates, like all darkly colored fruits and vegetables, are extremely rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants are able to prevent and repair cellular damage caused by free radicals in the body; they are closely linked to cancer prevention. Pomegranate's high antioxidant content is thought to make it instrumental in preventing skin, prostate, and breast cancer.
- Pomegranate juice is a natural inhibitor of cartilage-depleting enzymes in the body and is thought to prevent certain types of arthritis, as well as cartilage degradation in general.
- Frequent consumption of pomegranate juice over an extended period of time is thought to be directly correlated to a decrease in the risk of Alzheimer's disease and to promote brain health in general. Research studies using mice found that mice fed pomegranate juice over a period of time developed fewer of the brain plaques associated with the onset of Alzheimer's disease and were better able to perform mental tasks than mice not consuming pomegranate juice.

Massage sertificate
Picture from cooking class.
I woke up today at 4 and I couldn't fall asleep because of massage exam excitement. Today was the day which was waited for a long time. First exam part was theoretical and then anamnese, function test and treatment plan. Afternoon practical massage exam 1/2 sedative on arm and shoulder and 1/2 stimulative on the back. I don't even doubt that God was really helping me to accomplish this all tasks.
Hopefully soon I will do Lymphatic massage course.
Looking forward to have my own clients :) very soon

Things I need
There is always desire to get the things that are actually not needed or not primary in our life. I sometimes wanted something so much and when I got it I forgot about it after some time. So now before I start to want something I seriously think if I really need it. Human nature wants always new things and more, and never can be satisfied. I found that the most primary and important things are actually not material things but close connection with God and people around us.
When you have asked for the things your soul needs, believe that God will give you the best, just what you need. It may not come exactly the way you expected, but it will be just what is best. Psalm 31:24

Don’t Forget To Smile
A little girl walked to and from school daily. Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and lightning. The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school and she herself feared that the electrical storm might harm her child. Following the roar of thunder, lightning, like a flaming sword, would cut through the sky. Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child’s school. As she did so, she saw her little girl walking along, but at each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up and smile. Another and another were to follow quickly and with each the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile. When the mother’s car drove up beside the child she lowered the window and called to her. “What are you doing? Why do you keep stopping?” The child answered, “I am trying to look pretty, God keeps taking my picture.” May God bless you today as you face the storms that come your way. And don’t forget to SMILE then.

Autumn holiday

Slow down...
Slow down enough in order to reflect, to unwind, to laugh, to smell the flowers, to enjoy the rising and setting of the sun - to simply live.
- Physical rest ...we push beyond our endurance by studying or working late at night because we ignorantly suppose that we will get ahead that way. But in reality we do not get ahead - rather we fall behind in sense our immune system becomes weaker etc.; organs will be slugged with toxins, because during the night is the highest organism cleansing time- best body detoxification. Adequate sleep is a great restorer, for it rebuilds the cells throughout entire body. It refreshes mind and body, making more alert, efficient and calmer. Rest is a healer, for it helps in recovery from infections, sickness, trauma etc. Change from mental to physical labor will benefit students.
- Rest in God...(moral rest). Lack of rest causes whole system to become overly strained, opening the avenue for satan to exploit vulnerability and undermine spirituality. In Bible Exodus 20:9,10,11 is written six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy works: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. It is never possible to complete all work. But just rest as your all work were done. Jesus promises in John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"
- Rest with family and friends...position and prestige pass away, money and material possesions lose their luster, but our investment in people always endures. There was once one survery made; group of retired executives (living in retirement village) were asked what they regretted most not doing in their earlier years. Most of them felt that it was not spending time with their loved ones and friends. So...make a investment in to the family.

Veggie fact
One nice recipe : 1 Banana, 1/2 avocado pureed and sprinkled with some Goji berries + honey if desired.
When considering the amount of protein needed one should know that when the total diet contains the right proportions of alkaline foods (at least 75%) he does not need as much protein as formerly because the abundance of alkalies causes a saving of protein so that a smaller amount of protein will accomplish as much work now as the larger amount formerly did when the ration was too strongly acid-forming. For this reason the vegetarian needs less protein than those who eat animal foods.
Alkaline foods:
almonds, apples, apricots, artichoke, avocado, bananas, beans dried(lima), soy beans, fresh beets, beet greens, blackberries, Brazil nuts, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cantaloupe, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chestnut, cherry juice, cucumbers, currants, dandelion, dates, eggplant, endive, figs, garbanzos, grapes, grape juice, grapefruit, honey, kale, kohl-rabi, leek, lemons, lettuce, mangoes, maple syrup, soymilk, molasses, mushrooms, olives, onions, oranges, peaches, peas dried&fresh, pears, peppers (green) pineapple, potatoes, pumpkin, radishes, raisins, raspberries, rhubarb, sauerkraut, soy bean flour, spinach, squash, strawberries, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, watermelon.
Acid foods:
barley, beef, all kinds, bread white&whole wheat, buckwheat, cheese, cherries, chicken, codfish, corn canned& green, corn meal, crackers, cranberries, eggs, gelatin, goose, ham, lamb, lentils, liver, macaroni, oatmeal, peanuts, perch, plums, pork, prunes, rice, salmon, sardines, turkey, walnuts, whitefish.
Running at top speed, a sprinter makes a dram of lactic acid every second. (Including all physical activities)This acid must be instantly neutralized. If it accumulates, the runner becomes exhausted and his muscle refuse to act. To neutralize this acid, the blood is made alkaline. The more alkaline the blood, the longer the athlete can run or wrestle or row. And the blood is kept alkaline by alkaline foods.

Massage
Almost everyone I know likes massage. I am studying massage and anatomy intensively and that is really really interesting; massage practice almost every day on each other. I have never received and made so much massage in my whole life.
Massage is good for skin, blood circulation, nerves, endocrine system, spirit of man etc.
The Creator of man has arranged the living machinery of our bodies. Every function is wonderfully and wisely made. And God has pledged Himself to keep this human machinery in healthful action if the human agent will obey His laws and co-operate with God. . . . We may behold and admire the work of God in the natural world, but the human habitation is the most wonderful.
