Great Controversy

We cannot be too often reminded that health does not depend on chance. It is result of obedience to law. This is recognized by the contestants in athletic games and trials of strength. These men make the most careful preparation. They submit to thorough training and strict discipline. Every physical habit is carefully regulated. They know that neglect, excess, or carelessness, which weakens or cripples any organ of function of the body, would ensure defeat.

How much more important is such carefulness to ensure success in the conflict of life. It is not mimic battles in which we are engaged. We are waging a warfare upon which hang eternal results. We have unseen enemies to meet. Evil angels are striving for the dominion of every human being. Whatever injures the health, not only lessens physical vigor, but tends to weaken the mental and moral powers. Indulgence in any unhealthful practise makes it more difficult for one to discriminate between right and wrong, and hence more difficult to resist evil. It increases the danger of failure and defeat. "They which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize." 1 Corinthians 9:24. In the werfare in which we are engaged, all may win who will discipline themselves by obedience to right principles.

In the sky

Yesterday we went to fly, enjoyed it very much! Got a look on Germany from above. Its possible to have 4 persons in the plane. But we were 2. The weather was clear and the sight was perfect.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.

One who knows no failure

When we give ourselves fholly to God, and in our work follow His directions, He makes Himself responsible for its accomplishment. Not once should we think of failure. We are to co-operate with One who knows no failure. Christian cervise.

Spring in Germany

Apple tree Nettle
Poultice collection. With clay (gray ones) and charcoal, flaxseed (black ones). Oatflake maker:)

The time is going fast in Germany...I have been enjoying warm weather and taking sunbath with Kristel. Cooking meals already with fresh greens from the garten. We got a lot of bearlauch, I made pesto, cheese, sauces etc. out of it. Every day fresh juices from dandelion, nettle, carrot, red beet, cellery...yammy. Teas with nettle, yellow duck, thyme etc - good detoxifiers.
We got so much tofu this week, so I could experiment many dishes with tofu. For Sabbath I made tofu cheese cake , it came out really good.
Yesterday I wisited one lady, she was a real artist in porcelain painting. I started to miss handicraft. Unfortunately I dont have opportunity to do it here.
When, as erring, sinful beings, we come to Christ and become partakers of His pardoning grace, love springs up in the heart. Every burden is light; for the yoke that Christ imposes is easy. Duty becomes a delight, a sacrifice a pleasure. The path that before seemed shrouded in darkness becomes bright with beams from the Sun of righteousness.

Be strong and of good courage!

"Have I not commanded you? be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" Joshua 1:9
I have been reading David Gates mission pilot book...while reading the book I more and more senced "Jesus is coming very soon!!"
"Be still, and know that I am God!" Psalm 46:10
God will show exactly how and where we can spread the gospel. I am new in medical missionary, but God promised: "My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" I have never been lacking of anything since starting to work for God. He is the best employer! "He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it" 1 Thessalonians 5:24
"Our heavenly Father has thousand ways to provide for us, of which we know nothing"
The Desire of Ages, p. 330
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power, that works in us. Ephesians 3:20
"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3

Medical missionary work in Germany

21 of March I came to Germany to take care for lady with breast cancer. Its not an easy task, but God is good, He helps me in everyway, without Him I wouldnt be able to manage.
God's promise is "Ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart."
In giving ourselves to God, we must necessarily give up all that would separate us from Him. Hence the Saviour says, "Whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be desciple." Whatever shall draw away the heart from God must be given up. Mammon is the idol of many. The love of money, the desire of wealth, is the golden chain that binds them to Satan. Reputation and wordly honour are worshipped by another class. The life of selfish ease and freedom from responsibility is the idols of others. But these slavish bands must be broken. We cannot be half the Lord's and half the word's. We are not God's children unless we are such entirely.

Back home

Since 2nd of March I am back in Estonia. The weather that welcomed me was really wet - mixture of snow and rain. But it changed after a while, and until now it has been much more sunny and snowy. I have been enjoying sauna, snow and apple juice, skiing etc.
Have been doing massage almost every day. My mum is really addicted to massage, every time she gets free minute she is already waiting me on the massage table. But anyway I like doing massage.

Last 2 weeks before going home

This thursday we will have lymphatic massage exam.
After all we have every day Bible lessons and about diseases with Courtney Jackson.
The last week I have been waking up very early, like 3:30-40,( and I havent been sleepy at all until 21:30 which is my bed time), so I was thinking that should be from God, maybe He wants me to spend more time with Him. So I did. And that was awesome. My morning devotion is concentrated on reading Great Controversy (in english, dont have in estonian language here) and reading all Bible verses that are marked + 5 verses before and after. Additionaly I read Medical Missionary Manual and pray Psalms from Bible. Also I read often from 1 Corinthians Chapther 12.
1 Cor 12:31 "But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way."
2 Cor 4:8,9 "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;"

Patience required

The use of natural remedies requires an amount of care and effort that many are not willing to give. Nature's process of healing and upbuilding is gradual, and to impatient it seems slow. The surrender of hurtful indulgences requires sacrifice. But in the end it will be found that nature, untrammeled, does her work wisely and well. Those who preserve in obedience to her laws will reap the reward in health of body and health of mind.
