The greatest Gift promised

At all times and in all places, in all sorrows and in all afflictions, when the outlook seems dark and the future perplexing, and we feel helpless and alone, the Comforter (Holy Spirit) will be sent in answer to the prayer of faith. Circumstances may separate us from every earthly friend; but no circumstance, no distance, can separate us from the heavenly Comforter. Wherever we are, wherever we may go, He is always at our right hand to support, sustain, uphold, and cheer. - The Desire of Ages, pp. 669, 670

I went for a walk with the Bible and had a wonderful afternoon in the nature...sun was just so warm, and I felt glimpses of God's love and care.

I read about how Hanna had a sincere but powerful prayer. And God heard her and saw her heart decire. She gave birth to Samuel, and gave him already in very young age to God's service.

"Young as he was when brought to minister in the tabernacle, Samuel had even then duties to perform in the service of God, according to his capacity. These were at first very humble, and not always very pleasant; but they were performed to the best of his ability, and with a willing heart. His religion was carried into every duty of life. He regarded himself as God's servant, and his work as God's work. His efforts were accepted, because they were prompted by love to God and a sincere desire to do His will. It was thus that Samuel became a co-worker with the Lord of heaven and earth. And God fitted him to accomplish work for Israel." (PP 573,574)

Prudent

Prudence is growing in knowledge. It is making the effort to learn something new and using that information or skill, whether you enjoy that skill or not. God describes the prudent in the Bible in book of Proverbs 18:15 "The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge." In Proverbs 16:21 its says "The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and sweetness of the lips increaseth learning." Fear causes us to pay attention to what God says, knowing that he is very serious in his blessings and his curisngs.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Training the mind

Colaborating with God - moral, spiritual power increases. Will obtain an experience of the highest value to ourselves. In forgetfulness of self, we will grow in grace. By training mind in this direction, we will learn how to bear burdens for Jesus and will realize the blessedness of service and soon the time will come when "they that sow in tears shall reap in joy" DG Shapter 1

What brings satisfaction?

As Christian we are to be content in all things. Phil. 4:11

Looking for positive things in life, what has God done for us individually, keeping it in mind helps to overcome difficult tasks in life.

Avoiding talking negatively about others and instead praising and giving thanks, helps our mind to be pure and filled with gratitude.

The condition of the mind affects the health of the physical system. If the mind is free and happy, from consciousness of rightdoing and a sense of satsifaction in causing happiness to others, it creates a cheerfulness that will react upon the whole system, causing a freer circulation of the blood and a toning up of the entire body. The blessing of God is a healing power, and those who are abundant in benefiting others will realize that wondrous blessing in both heart and life. (CCh 216.2)

Peace

In the heart of Christ, where reigned perfect harmony with God, there was perfect peace. True happiness is found in learning of Christ. Those who take at His Word and surrender the soul to His keeping, their lives to His ordering, will find peace and quietude. Nothing of the world can make them sad when Jesus makes them glad by his presence. It is the love of self that brings unrest.

God's original plan

The more nearly we come into harmony with God's original plan, the more favorable will be our position to secure health of our body and mind and soul.

Amisi died

Little Amisi went to sleep a week ago. Bethesda missionaries have been taking care for him for 2 months. He was hopeless before, but he found hope in God aswell as his mum. Last evening Bethesda missionaries came to wash him and prayed with him, and Amisi prayed with them. And at night he died. In the morning his mum admitted that Amisi surely died in peace with God. Praise the Lord!!
Have you unwavering trust in God? Lacking self-confidence, do you put your faith in Him, rejoysing that you are privileged to be His child, even to suffer for his dear sake? Rejoising in Christ as your seviour, pitiful, compassionate, and touched with the feeling of your infirmities, love and joy will be reveiled in your daily life. If you love Him who died to redeem mankind, you will love those for whom He died. A restful peace and happiness will fill your heart to overflowing when you believe that Jesus carries you and all your burdens. RH E.G.W

With what power and compassion Jesus cried, "If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink."
