Veggie fact

One nice recipe : 1 Banana, 1/2 avocado pureed and sprinkled with some Goji berries + honey if desired.

When considering the amount of protein needed one should know that when the total diet contains the right proportions of alkaline foods (at least 75%) he does not need as much protein as formerly because the abundance of alkalies causes a saving of protein so that a smaller amount of protein will accomplish as much work now as the larger amount formerly did when the ration was too strongly acid-forming. For this reason the vegetarian needs less protein than those who eat animal foods.

Alkaline foods:
almonds, apples, apricots, artichoke, avocado, bananas, beans dried(lima), soy beans, fresh beets, beet greens, blackberries, Brazil nuts, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cantaloupe, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chestnut, cherry juice, cucumbers, currants, dandelion, dates, eggplant, endive, figs, garbanzos, grapes, grape juice, grapefruit, honey, kale, kohl-rabi, leek, lemons, lettuce, mangoes, maple syrup, soymilk, molasses, mushrooms, olives, onions, oranges, peaches, peas dried&fresh, pears, peppers (green) pineapple, potatoes, pumpkin, radishes, raisins, raspberries, rhubarb, sauerkraut, soy bean flour, spinach, squash, strawberries, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, watermelon.

Acid foods:
barley, beef, all kinds, bread white&whole wheat, buckwheat, cheese, cherries, chicken, codfish, corn canned& green, corn meal, crackers, cranberries, eggs, gelatin, goose, ham, lamb, lentils, liver, macaroni, oatmeal, peanuts, perch, plums,pork, prunes, rice, salmon, sardines, turkey, walnuts, whitefish.

Running at top speed, a sprinter makes a dram of lactic acid every second. (Including all physical activities)This acid must be instantly neutralized. If it accumulates, the runner becomes exhausted and his muscle refuse to act. To neutralize this acid, the blood is made alkaline. The more alkaline the blood, the longer the athlete can run or wrestle or row. And the blood is kept alkaline by alkaline foods.
